A relatively unknown german tuner has given the BMW 6 series a unique look pictured here which features their €5,990 (US$8,420) aerodynamic kit consisting of M3-style front bumper, new front and rear three-quarter panels / fenders, side skirts and a rear apron. A tailgate spoiler is €399 (US$561) extra.

For an additional €8,960 (US$12,594) you can get a set of 3-piece black alloy wheels with stainless steel trim rings. The front wheels are 9.5 x 22 inch whereas the rear are 11.5 x 22 inch, respectively wrapped in 255/30-22 and 285/25-22 high performance tires.

Also on offer are a €1,290 (US$1,813) electronic performance enhancement that pushes the 645i's output up to 379 hp (283 kw) and 490 Nm (361 lb. ft.) and a €1,599 (US$2,248) CLP muffler with quad stainless steel tailpipes. Yum.

These cosmetic and performance upgrades are said to be available across the 6-Series Coupe and Cabriolet range, though it seems a little strange that CLP is releasing this package so close to the launch of the third generation 6-Series.

BMW is showing off their latest design study, the BMW Concept Gran Coupe, at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in China.

The Concept Gran Coupe is a four door sedan, but the B pillar is hidden. There are traces of previous concept cars in the design as well – the tail lamp internal lense design is similiar to the one on the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics although on that car it was a floating design and on the Concept Gran Coupe it is enclosed inside a tail lamp.

At 1.4-meters high, the car is 10-cm shorter in height than the 5er and 7er sedan. Current rumors suggest that the car is already approved for production and will be marketed as the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe to rival the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, a car which BMW does not directly compete against at this time.

The new BMW 6 Series Coupe and the BMW 6 Series Convertible offer a greater thrill and more style than ever before.



Brilliant performance is delivered by the eight-cylinder power unit featured in the BMW 650i Coupe and the BMW 650i Convertible churning out 360 hp from an engine capacity of 4.8 liters.



Engine power on the new BMW 650i is transmitted to the rear wheels in standard trim by a six-speed manual gearbox. Optionally available, at no charge, is BMW's newly developed six-speed Sports Automatic transmission.



Standard on the BMW 6 Series, Servotronic power steering provides appropriate assistance on the hydraulic rack-and-pinion steering as a function of road speed.
